Music Ministries

The Music Ministry at First Christian Church is not only very active, but an important part of each worship service.  The sanctuary houses a beautiful Pipe Organ and Yamaha Grand Piano.

The Chancel, Handbell, and Jammin' Disciples season begins in September (after Labor Day) and ends in May with the annual Sermon in Music (the Sunday preceding Memorial Day weekend.)

During the summer months and at other times throughout the year many of our church musicians as well as guest musicians provide special music for Sunday morning worship services and other special services.

June, July and August brings the annual Summer Vespers Concert Series.  Each concert begins at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays in our sanctuary and lasts approximately 1 hour.  Admission is free and open to the public.  Please check the church calendar for concert dates.  Vespers Concerts features Church, Guest and Young Musicians who perform a wide variety of vocal and instrumental musical selections including sacred, classical, jazz, bluegrass, secular, etc.
