Tom is a fourth generation Disciple of Christ who was born in Winchester, Kentucky and grew up in North Carolina, New Jersey and California. After High School he entered the U.S.. Air Force where he served as a firefighter.
Following his call to ministry, Tom entered Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) in Wilson, North Carolina and received a B.A. in Religion & Philosophy. He earned the M.Div. degree at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina and completed the Doctor of Ministry degree at Lexington Theological Seminary.
He began serving Disciple congregations while an undergraduate in 1979. He has served churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, Nova Scotia, Georgia and began serving First Christian Church in April 2010.
Tom is married to Gladys and they have two sons, Jesse and Sam.

John Dailey has been a member of First Christian Church for 61 years. He is retired farmer and also works part-time for Liberty Savings Bank. On January 1, 2010 he will be 81 years old and will start his 20th year as custodian. John is also a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Elizabeth Haskins is beginning her 17th year as Chancel Choir Director at First Christian Church and is also a member of the Handbell Choir. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Music and English from Wilmington College of Ohio and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from Miami University of Ohio. Elizabeth currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Music at Wilmington College where she directs the College-Community Chorus, Collegium Musicum (early music group) and teaches entry level music courses. She also performs in "My Musical Friends", another early music ensemble, and composes music. She, her husband, Robert J. (Jim), and their son, Christopher, have been members of First Christian Church since 1978.
Lori Scott graduated from Wilmington College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. In addition to serving as the Administrative Assistant for the past 13 years, she also is the Handbell Choir director, Jammin’ Disciples Director and sings in the Chancel Choir. She is a member of the Early Music Group, My Musical Friends. Lori’s other musical activities include singing in the Wilmington College Community Chorus, playing saxophone in the Clinton County Community Band and teaching private saxophone lessons. mailto:loriscott@wilmingtondisciples.org
